Top cities for doggy day care in Hong Kong

For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Tai Po for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Tai Po Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Tai Po sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hi, I’m an experienced, full‑time work‑from‑home animal lover who has shared my life with dogs for over 15 years. I offer home visits, daytime sitting and dog walking. Because I care for my two senior dogs every evening, I do not offer overnight stays in clients’ homes – but I can be with your pet during the day, evening, or for multiple visits, ensuring they never feel lonely.

What makes me different?

· I’m home all day. Your pet will never be left alone for long hours. I can easily follow any feeding, medication, or potty schedule.
· I raised my own two dogs from 8 weeks old. They are now happy, well‑adjusted 15‑year‑olds, so I know every stage from puppy to senior.
· I have deep experience with chronic illnesses. My own dogs have managed skin allergies, kidney disease, and pancreatitis for years. I give subcutaneous fluids, medications, and special diets confidently.
· Daily walks are a must. Rain or shine, I take my dogs out for gentle, sniffy walks – and I’d love to do the same for yours.
· I use infrared light therapy and pet‑safe aromatherapy to support joint health and slow ageing. Your dog is welcome to benefit from these soothing therapies while in my care.
· I volunteer weekly at a dog shelter, caring for over 20 rescued mongrels. I clean, bathe, feed, and provide basic medical care – so I’m calm, confident, and gentle with all temperaments.
· I also have experience with cats, hamsters, and rabbits. I can do home visits for small pets, including feeding, cage cleaning, and gentle handling.
· Medication and injections are no problem. I give pills, liquids, eye drops, and even subcutaneous fluids to dogs who need them.

What I offer – clearly explained

Boarding in my home (small dogs only)
Because my own two seniors are small and calm, I only accept small dogs (up to 5kg) for boarding. Your dog will enjoy a quiet, dog‑friendly apartment with soft bedding, and they are welcome on furniture. They will have constant company, gentle play, and a stress‑free routine.

Home visits (no overnight stays)
I can come to your home once or multiple times a day to feed, walk, medicate, and play with your pet. I do not stay overnight, but I am happy to do early morning, midday, and evening visits – so your pet gets all the care they need while you’re away.

Dog walking – slow or brisk, always at your dog’s pace.
Small pet care – cats, hamsters, rabbits: feeding, cleaning, and cuddles.

Why choose me over other sitters?

· I have a medical skill set that most sitters don’t – injections, special diets, and recognising early signs of illness.
· My volunteer shelter work means I’m used to handling dogs who are scared, shy, or overexcited – I never use force.
· I send daily photo and video updates, so you always see a happy, relaxed pet.
· I am reliable, organised, and truly love what I do.

A note about my own dogs
Mocha and Latte are both 15 years old, gentle, and well‑socialised with other small dogs. They sleep most of the day and have no aggression whatsoever. Your small dog will be perfectly safe with them.

Requirements

· For boarding in my home: your dog must be small (up to 5kg), friendly with other calm dogs, and up‑to‑date on vaccinations.
· For home visits: no size restrictions. I’m happy to care for any friendly pet.

**All proceeds goes towards buying food and supplies for dog shelters**
We are a family of 3 who love to be around paw friends. Doting mom of Luna, our precious King’s Charles Cavalier. I have experience in managing and caring for dogs. At a given time I only cater to 2 more dogs so that I can give my undivided attention.
Pets are never left unattended and get free roam in the house. We provide pet boarding, sitting and walks. For boarding we provide 2 potty breaks per day and one walk plus lots of cuddles and play.
We have a dog park and a lovely walking track next to the promenade for the pet to enjoy their walks and get free play.
Please discuss any health issues and allergies before taking on our services. We would also require the veterinary contact in case of an emergency.
Can administer medication if required.
Please book well in advance ahead of holiday season.

Background
This is Shirley. I was born in Hong Kong.
I am a reliable dog lover living with my mom in Happy Valley. We have a lovely home environment (with a small balcony and a medium rooftop) where your furry friend will be treated like family.
I have two small dogs of my own—Shih Tzu—so I am very experienced with the specific needs of small breeds. I understand that every dog has a different personality, which is why I offer flexible services tailored to your routine. Whether you need a midday walk, overnight care, or just someone to check in, I am here to help.
My flexible job lets me work from home, and because I live with my mom, there’s nearly always someone home. Your dog will never be alone for long and will get lots of love and cuddles.
You can trust that your dog will be in safe, loving hands while you are away. Your pup will be part of the family here! ️
About First Meet, Routine, Daily Updates
I know that bringing a new dog into a home can be stressful, so I take introductions very seriously to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable.
For the first few hours, I provide separate resting areas so the new dog can explore my home at their own pace without feeling overwhelmed.
I strictly follow your feeding schedule, portion sizes, and dietary restrictions (whether it's kibble, wet food, or medication mixed in).
To avoid any food aggression or stealing, I always feed the dogs in separate bowls and in separate areas of the room. This ensures my dogs don't bother your pup, and your pup can eat in peace.
You will definitely receive lots of photos and videos daily.
Add-on Service
I have a private car and can offer point-to-point service to pick up your dog and bring him/her to my home when needed.

Taking care of cats has always been something I truly love. Every one of my cats is adopted, and seeing them grow up healthy, loved, and happy fills me with a deep sense of purpose. As someone who cares for five cats myself — including one with heart disease, one with diabetes, and with a 22-year-old cat who had kidney disease — I completely understand how it feels when you need to travel or work late and can’t be home to feed them, give them their medicine, or simply keep them company. It’s hard to focus when a part of your heart is still worrying at home.
That’s why I offer professional pet sitting services
•	Precise medication administration (pills, injections, insulin shots, liquid meds)
•	Daily feeding following your exact schedule
•	Litter box cleaning (multi-cat household ready!)
•	Playtime & companionship for mental stimulation
•	Daily photo/video updates via WhatsApp
•	Emergency vet coordination
Living in a multi-cat household, I handle multiple pets with ease. Every pet is family — when they’re happy, we feel secure; when they’re sick, our hearts ache. Need something special? Just tell me! Flexible for short trips or overnight stays.

Hello animal lovers!
I grew up having bunnies, pigeons and aquatic animals as a kid, with occasional cats coming over for visits. Always thought it would be amazing to live amongst animals and see how they interact with each other ducks, rabbits, cats, dogs, ponies, cows, and hens all together in a barn ( that's heaven on earth ! )
I'm thinking of spending more time outdoors around my area and thought having dogs/ cats to accompany me sounds like a perfect date~
Could do house visits too depending on the day or distance.
Have done short runs with a family dog along the hk harbour couple of times, and take the dog to the doggie park for socialising while the owners were away. Recently had the pleasure to take care of a friend's cat ( Siberian breed) for a month and this changed me forever, as she has turned me into a cat lover too.
Look forward to meeting your angels!

About Me
Hi! I'm Emma, a full-time professional in Hong Kong who grew up with dogs. Since I can't have my own right now due to my living situation, I'd love to care for yours after work. I'm reliable, non-smoking, and comfortable with dogs of all personalities – from independent Shibas to attention-loving Corgis.

My Dog Sitting Experience
I have regular experience with Pomeranians, Corgis and Shibas. I've cared for a Pomeranian mix with separation anxiety – he needs company, reassurance and plenty of playtime to feel secure.

I'm a dog walker with hands-on experience caring for Shibas and Corgis — both medium-size "baby dogs" around 1–2 years old. That means I'm very comfortable with high energy, playfulness, and the patience needed for potty breaks.

I also have experience walking two dogs at a time, so I know how to manage different paces, keep both dogs engaged, and stay aware of their body language and surroundings.

I know that young dogs need more than just a quick walk — they need attention, stimulation, and someone who understands their pace. Whether your pup is still learning to go potty outside or just needs to burn off energy, I'm happy to slow down, wait, and encourage them along the way.

I offer 30- to 60-minute walks, always solo or with dogs from the same household, so your dog gets my full attention. I'm also comfortable with basic medication if needed.

I'm also familiar with Corgis and their playful, attention-seeking personalities – they thrive on interaction and can get anxious when left alone, so I keep them engaged with play, walks and cuddles. For Shibas, I understand their independent streak and respect their space while maintaining routine.
