Esther is very responsible & professional pet sitter and she took care of my cat very well when I was out of town. She helped to feed the medicine for my cat and always inform me the details which are very helpful for me. Appreciated for the works she did when I really need a pet sitter to help me🙏. Highly recommended 👍👍👍!

Claire is a fantastic cat sitter, and while we were anxious to leave our cat at home for the first time in a while, she made us feel calm and confident in our 2 week trip away. Our cat is an older boy (14) and requires a bit more attention than most, due to a health condition. Claire was more than happy to help with us with a specific meal and medicine schedule, and extra attention to his litter box, as he can be very fussy. Claire sent us really fantastic updates every day, with lots of lovely pictures and detailed messages to keep us worry-free during our trip, which we really appreciated. She went out of her way to ensure he was happy, fed/watered, medicated and given lots of attention and tickles every day. Even with some unexpected issues she was calm, collected and went above and beyond to help us make sure our cat was really well cared for. Thank you so much Claire, we would highly recommend you and we will be in touch if we ever have to leave our grumpy, lovely old boy again in future!

Frequently asked questions

Your pet sitting questions answered

What does pet sitting include?

When you book our pet sitting services, an experienced pet sitter will visit your home and spend some one-on-one time with your pet.

Who will be caring for my pet during the pet sitting booking?

Pawshake only accepts pet and dog sitters who have experience and/or qualifications caring for pets. You can search, choose and have a free meet and greet with your pet sitter or dog minder prior to making a booking.

Is pet sitting the right option for my pet?

Pet sitting is the perfect option for pets who prefer staying in their own home environment and would like some company during the day. This means your pet gets to enjoy high quality and personalised care that is better than pet hotels.

What is the difference between pet sitting and pet hotels?

Pet sitting is a personalised service where a pet sitter visits your home and spends one on one time with your pet. Pet hotels can be stressful and usually involve your pet sharing their space with other pets and interacting with different staff members each time.
