About Emily
I am an animal lover studying veterinary medicine in Hong Kong. I have 2 years of dog walking and handling experiences. At the moment, I am wiling to provide dog walk services around New Territories (Tai po, University, Fo tan, Sha tin), between 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your needs. Water, treats, and poo bag will be provided.
I want to be a pet sitter because of my passion when working with animals. Having two years of experience in walking dogs, I have come to understand the process of accommodating to each individual's preferences and personalities when taking care of them. Especially when working with some animals that are more sensitive to their surroundings and people, I have learnt to take a slow approach and let them be as comfortable as possible during the whole experience. Right now, I have a 10 month old black mongrel named Onyx, adopted from SPCA. Onyx loves to play with any kind of dog, so I am happy to include playtime with him if your pet likes playing with other dogs. I am also happy to look after multiple dogs as well.
Another reason for becoming a pet sitter is because of my respect towards having an active healthy lifestyle. By helping with clients that seek out for my services, I believe that I will be able to help people that are genuine in providing a better wellbeing and lifestyle for their pets. I have seen firsthand how regular exercise outdoors help with an animal's physical and mental wellbeing, reducing anxiety and stereotypical problems. It is because of these positive impacts that further inspired me to pursue this career.
I have previous experience with cats, rabbits, turtles/tortoises, snakes, and lizards, so if your pet needs any accompany I am willing to help out as well.
Right now, I am usually available during Wednesday mornings, and free on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
