PLEASE NOTE: I have a full time office job! But I WFH most days. Hi! My name is Bailey and I come from Northern Canada, a place where nearly every family has a pet and treats them like a family member. I’ve lived in Hong Kong for over five years, and work full time as a copywriter in Quarry Bay and reside in Sai Ying Pun area. Ever since I was a young girl I have always been surrounded by dogs – both big and small, purebreds and rescues. As a child we had a chocolate lab and cockerspaniel. Then into adulthood cats from college roommates and (another) rescue dog at home. Since moving to Asia there has been a void in my heart, because my apartment has little space for a dog or cat of my own. I love animals – each time I see a dog walking past on the street it’s like seeing a pup for the very first time all over again. I try to volunteer as much as possible at the dog shelters in the New Territories. I would like to help out as much as I can with other people’s pets and ensure them a safe and playful sitter. Pets are our family and I want to help keep yours in good hands, and spoil them with love and care.
A summary of my services: walks are typically 45 minutes to 1 hour. If you require more than 3 hours of sitting I will charge for a full day/overnight service. I have experience with all sizes of dogs, and have petsit for both dogs and cats with disabilities, special needs and seperation anxiety.
Bailey looked after our three cats full time for our first time away from them since before Covid. She was completely reliable and looked after our place well during the stay.
The cats are a tricky bunch who are hesitant with strangers but she quickly managed to establish a good rapport with them and kept them well fed and entertained.
Bailey took care of our cat Lia for four weeks, staying at our place, while we were in Europe. We were very happy with Bailey‘s communication throughout the process. She came to visit before we made the final booking so we could meet her and she could meet Lia. Bailey was an absolute star when I tested positive and couldn’t get back to HK, she immediately reassured that she would be there and Lia will be taken care of - lucky enough, my husband made it home, but I was immensely grateful to know Bailey was ready to help out longer than expected. Lia doesn’t trust easily and she has dietary restrictions, Bailey took great care of her and made sure she was well and happy. Would definitely recommend Bailey if you’re looking for someone to look after your little fur ball - made our trip to Europe way more relaxed :)
As mentioned, I have been around dogs all of my life both big and small. I am patient and skilled at walking dogs especially in a tense city like Hong Kong where there are many people afraid of dogs. Excrement does not frighten me, making me an ideal person for helping with tidying up. I listen to pets and make sure their needs are met, such as always having a bowl of water available and listening for when the bathroom walk calls!
When it comes to cats, I never try to force affection on them and take a 'let them come to me' approach. I've administered eye drops and oral medication in the past.
