Every animal deserves to feel secure, valued, & happy, & that is the heart of my care.

I have dedicated much of my life to animal welfare, & pet sitting allows me to continue doing what I love most: caring for animals & ensuring they feel safe, happy, & understood. My journey began with founding & managing an animal welfare organization, which I led for six years. In that role, I was responsible not only for the daily care of dogs, cats, & small animals, but also for guiding staff, mentoring volunteers, & overseeing adoption services. This experience gave me deep, hands-on knowledge of animal behavior, health monitoring, & the importance of creating nurturing environments where every animal can thrive.

Over the years, I’ve developed training methods rooted in patience, empathy, and consistency. I believe that every animal has its own language, & I take the time to listen & respond in ways that build trust. For pets who are shy, anxious, or difficult to handle, I use gentle desensitization techniques, positive reinforcement, & calm body language to help them feel secure. I’ve learned how to recognize subtle cues, like changes in posture, eye contact, or vocalization, that reveal how an animal is feeling, & I adjust my approach accordingly. My goal is always to create a safe space where they can relax & express themselves without fear.

I also emphasize enrichment & routine as part of my care. Whether it’s long walks to release energy, interactive play to stimulate their minds, grooming to keep them comfortable, or simply quiet companionship for those who need reassurance, I tailor my care to each pet’s personality & needs. I’ve worked with animals recovering from trauma, seniors requiring special attention, & energetic pets who thrive on structured activity. In every case, I focus on balancing physical exercise, mental stimulation, & emotional connection.

What truly drives me is the bond that forms when an animal realizes they are understood. For me, pet sitting isn’t just about feeding or walking, it’s about building relationships based on trust, respect, & love. That’s the foundation of my work, & it’s what makes caring for animals not just a responsibility, but a joy.
